Things to do when you are feeling like giving up in company.

If you've managed to develop your company by yourself, discouragement will quickly knock you off your feet and make you think whether you need to give up on your company — questioning whether it's really feasible to accomplish your vision.

If you are in your company experiencing this anxiety you are not alone. I felt your suffering, and so do thousands of effective entrepreneurs now.

The good news is that only reading this article and digging for answers should take you a step in the right direction.

Here are 5 ideas to motivate you stay up anytime you feel like giving up. To support you bring your "A-game" going, incorporate these guidelines.

  1. Expect combat obstacles.
Challenges are part of life ... and it's part of the company rising as well.

A wise person told me a long time ago, "the response of a person is dependent on their aspirations." Being subjected to too many success stories on social media "overnight," it's no surprise if every average individual could feel like a 'failure' if you're going through a tough time in your career.

Ok, I never hear such sound bites on social media showing the struggles and tough challenges they had to face to reach the popularity they are today.

If you've been an email user of mine, you probably already know about some of the highlights of my history like, reaching my first Million Dollar mark ... doubling my company 11 times during my 26-year career as an entrepreneur ... beginning, transforming and selling 3 companies, etc. Do not encourage challenges to blow the wind out of you and for you to focus on bad thoughts.

As Vince Lombardi famously claimed, "It's not if you get knocked down; it's how you get up." I've found, that getting up from defeats is so much quicker and simpler because you have other people to support you. Therefore it is necessary to ... 2. Link with like-minded entrepreneurs.
It's pretty hard to get motivated when you're in the middle of huge anger and anxiety.

First, you have to make a choice to stay out of solitary confinement and not live like an island.

Don't just try to crawl out of discouragement.

Find a strategist community or consulting company where you frequently meet with like minded entrepreneurs to work ON your project.
Join a local networking community where you can create partnerships with other entrepreneurs and company owners.
Move into a friend and expect them to be the collaborator in transparency. (Don't just choose someone who's in the same position to consider giving up in their business right now).
  1. Sign in to the "WHY"
I find people worry most about leaving and giving up when their company doesn't make enough money (you need to attract more customers) or the business just isn't fun anymore (you need to grow high-performance people that you like to be around).

If you are only in it for the profits, a company won't last for long. Yeah, to succeed as a company, it has to make money, but there has to be a far larger sense that guides you in your business.

The question is that the production of capital is not a rational goal. We all need to make a living, but I believe that God created each of us purposefully and for a larger purpose.

What was the change that you set out in your company to bring in people's lives?

It doesn't matter how unglamorous a career you may consider is. Only a home painting company can have a strong effect when it's managed as a business guided by purpose.

It's easy to sink into self pity when business is slow and start questioning whether it's time to throw the towel in. Instead, turn the focus away from yourself and on others.

Test the tools.
You have to have the correct tools while scaling rock to have a good climb. The wrong shoes are going to make any step in mountain hiking slippery and risky. A string on a line of clothes does not count as suitable gear. You might be able to hang clothes with it, but you wouldn't rely on the string of a line of clothes to save you from dropping over a cliff.

If the company is sluggish, you ought to determine which equipment you are using in your marketing toolbox.

Don't neglect the value of getting the proper communication resources. You will see the revenue grow even quicker because you are using the correct method to get the job done.
